For a high-traffic area in the Port of Hamburg, the HPA (Hamburg Port Authority) has opted for turnout sleepers made of FFU. Especially in highly frequented areas, FFU sleepers offer advantages due to enormously high failure safety and durability. For example, FFU sleepers are extremely resistant to derailments, so the sleepers can withstand hard impacts without any problems. FFU sleepers have been installed in over 30 countries worldwide since 1980 and have therefore proven their lifetime of over 43 years.
