As part of the renewal of the Schlesisches Tor station, BVG also renewed the superstructure of the ballast bridge in the direction of the Oberbaumbrücke, due to the low ballast deck, FFU flat sleepers with a height of 12 cm were suitable for this. In addition, these are electrically insulating, so that the installation of conductor rails is possible without any problems. A total of 159 sleepers were installed.
