Calmmoon Rail was used in Europe for the first time in 2009 at Austrian Railways on the Hainburg project.
Deutsche Bahn used Calmmoon Rail for the first time in 2010.

The approval of the German Federal Railway Authority (EBA) for operational trials of Calmmoon Rail with screw locking was granted on 21 April 2010.
The approval of the German Federal Railway Authority (EBA) for operational trials of Calmmoon Rail with ZAM clip fastening was granted on 12 November 2012.
